About CampFit Atlas
CampFit Atlas exists because "maximum RV length: 35 feet" is not an answer to "will my truck and trailer fit". The campground is describing one unit; you are arriving with two, plus the gap between them. Most directories reprint the limit and stop. This site does the arithmetic, draws the result to scale, and quotes the official sentence the limit came from with the date it was read.
It is deliberately small. A campground gets a page only when an official page states a limit for the whole facility, and the campgrounds that did not qualify are listed with the reason. The campsite-level database that would make this a real finder needs a Recreation Information Database API key, which is not configured yet; the methodology page documents exactly which endpoints and fields it will use when it is.
Author
The CampFit Atlas team. CampFit Atlas is built and maintained by a small independent team. We compile campground limits quoted from National Park Service and Recreation.gov pages, show the source and retrieval date for every figure, and publish the assumptions behind any calculation on the methodology page. We are not affiliated with, and not endorsed by, any of the organisations whose published data appears here.
Data and method
See the methodology page for every source, retrieval date, the fit rules and the assumptions that are ours rather than anyone's specification.
